The APVMA’s timeframe performance was negatively affected by unexpected leave and high turnover of staff in the first part of the reporting period. Leave has now returned to typical levels.
To improve timeframe performance the APVMA has employed a number of new staff and commenced a major project to update and improve the end to end registration process and quality decision making, with an emphasis on processes and improved information systems. This project will be a focus for the rest of 2015–16 and into 2016–17. Continual improvements in results are expected to flow from this project.
